Sports Injury Recovery in Stillwater, MN.

Recovery is more than waiting for pain to go away. Real return to sport requires rebuilding capacity, restoring movement quality, and confirming you are ready to load the way your sport demands. That is what I do.

What sports injury recovery looks like.

Sports injury recovery covers acute injuries (sprains, strains, falls), overuse injuries (tendinopathies, stress responses), and post-surgical return-to-sport (ACL, shoulder, knee, hip). The goal is not just symptom relief. It is restoring full capacity in the activity you actually want to return to.

When to seek physical therapy.

  • Recurring strains that keep coming back
  • Overuse injuries that have not resolved with rest
  • Post-surgical return-to-sport (ACL, meniscus, shoulder, hip)
  • Plateaus in recovery you cannot push past
  • An acute injury that needs a structured plan
  • Pain that flares up only with sport-specific demands
  • Wanting to come back stronger than you were before the injury

How physical therapy helps.

Full assessment of mobility, strength, control, and sport-specific movement. From there, a phased plan that progresses from foundational rehab to sport-specific loading. Manual therapy, dry needling, strength programming, and biomechanical retraining as needed. Return-to-sport testing before you go back so you know you are actually ready.

What to expect.

60 minutes, one-on-one with Dr. Bethany. Full history, movement and strength assessment, hands-on treatment, and a clear progression plan from the first session.

Dr. Bethany Reuter, DPT, owner of Enhance Physical Therapy in Stillwater, MN

Hi, I am Dr. Bethany Reuter.

I started Enhance PT because I was tired of watching patients get rushed through their care. After years in traditional clinics, I knew there was a better way to practice physical therapy. One where the person on the table actually came first.

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pelvic health, orthopedics, dry needling, visceral manipulation, and concussion rehabilitation. I treat every client like the only client on my schedule, because for that hour, they are.

If you have been brushed off, told to just live with it, or shuffled between providers who do not talk to each other, I want you to know there is another path. And I would be honored to walk it with you.
