Pelvic Organ Prolapse Treatment in Stillwater, MN.

A prolapse diagnosis is not a sentence. Pelvic floor physical therapy is the first-line, evidence-backed conservative treatment for prolapse, and for many people it provides meaningful symptom relief without surgery.

Common prolapse symptoms.

A feeling of bulging, heaviness, or pressure in the pelvis
A visible or palpable bulge
Difficulty fully emptying the bladder or bowels
Lower back or pelvic discomfort that worsens through the day
Symptoms that feel worse with standing, lifting, or exercise
Leakage of urine or stool

How pelvic floor PT helps prolapse.

Pelvic floor PT does not "fix" prolapse anatomically, but it can dramatically improve how you feel and function. By improving pelvic floor coordination, core support, breath, and movement strategy, you can reduce symptoms, return to activities you enjoy, and often avoid or delay surgery.

What to expect at your first visit.

60 minutes, one-on-one. Full history, movement assessment, and pelvic floor evaluation if clinically appropriate and consented to. We build a plan that includes hands-on work, strengthening and coordination exercises, breath retraining, and a clear home program. Many clients also benefit from learning safer lifting and movement strategies for daily life.

Dr. Bethany Reuter, DPT, owner of Enhance Physical Therapy in Stillwater, MN

Hi, I am Dr. Bethany Reuter.

I started Enhance PT because I was tired of watching patients get rushed through their care. After years in traditional clinics, I knew there was a better way to practice physical therapy. One where the person on the table actually came first.

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pelvic health, orthopedics, dry needling, visceral manipulation, and concussion rehabilitation. I treat every client like the only client on my schedule, because for that hour, they are.

If you have been brushed off, told to just live with it, or shuffled between providers who do not talk to each other, I want you to know there is another path. And I would be honored to walk it with you.
