Visceral Manipulation in Stillwater, MN.

Your organs move. When they cannot, pain shows up in places that have nothing to do with the organ itself. Visceral manipulation is gentle, hands-on work on the connective tissue around the organs to restore movement and reduce pain.

What visceral work helps with.

Chronic abdominal or pelvic pain
Post-surgical scar tissue and adhesions
C-section recovery
Hernia recovery
Digestive symptoms that have a structural component
Persistent low back, hip, or rib pain that has not responded to other treatment
Restricted breathing or diaphragm tension

How it works.

The organs are wrapped in fascia and connective tissue. Surgery, scar tissue, trauma, inflammation, and chronic tension can restrict that tissue. Restricted tissue pulls on surrounding structures, which is how an old appendectomy scar can quietly become a hip pain you cannot explain. Visceral manipulation is gentle, hands-on work that releases those restrictions and restores normal movement.

What to expect.

Visceral work is gentle. There is no force, no thrusting, and no discomfort. It feels more like a focused, light hold than typical hands-on PT. It is often combined with other treatment in the same session, and is paired with movement work to make the changes last.

Dr. Bethany Reuter, DPT, owner of Enhance Physical Therapy in Stillwater, MN

Hi, I am Dr. Bethany Reuter.

I started Enhance PT because I was tired of watching patients get rushed through their care. After years in traditional clinics, I knew there was a better way to practice physical therapy. One where the person on the table actually came first.

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pelvic health, orthopedics, dry needling, visceral manipulation, and concussion rehabilitation. I treat every client like the only client on my schedule, because for that hour, they are.

If you have been brushed off, told to just live with it, or shuffled between providers who do not talk to each other, I want you to know there is another path. And I would be honored to walk it with you.
