Shoulder Pain Treatment in Stillwater, MN.
Shoulder pain often involves more than the shoulder. The thoracic spine, scapular movement, breathing pattern, and even the opposite hip all influence how the shoulder loads. Real treatment looks at all of it.
What shoulder pain is.
Shoulder pain can be acute (from an injury, fall, or new training stress) or chronic (building over time from repetitive use, posture, or untreated dysfunction). Common diagnoses include rotator cuff strain, impingement, frozen shoulder, bursitis, and post-surgical recovery. What unites them is that the shoulder is a complex joint that depends on a lot of moving parts working together.
When to seek physical therapy.
- • Rotator cuff pain or weakness
- • Pain with overhead reaching, lifting, or sleeping on your side
- • Shoulder impingement
- • Frozen shoulder (limited motion in multiple directions)
- • Post-surgical shoulder recovery
- • Recurring strains that keep coming back
- • Pain that has not improved after rest or stretching
How physical therapy helps.
A full assessment of the shoulder, scapula, thoracic spine, and breath. From there, hands-on manual therapy, dry needling where indicated, scapular and rotator cuff strengthening, and movement retraining. Most clients see meaningful change in 4 to 8 visits.
What to expect.
60 minutes, one-on-one with Dr. Bethany. Full history, movement and strength testing, hands-on treatment, and a take-home program from the first session.
Hi, I am Dr. Bethany Reuter.
I started Enhance PT because I was tired of watching patients get rushed through their care. After years in traditional clinics, I knew there was a better way to practice physical therapy. One where the person on the table actually came first.
I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pelvic health, orthopedics, dry needling, visceral manipulation, and concussion rehabilitation. I treat every client like the only client on my schedule, because for that hour, they are.
If you have been brushed off, told to just live with it, or shuffled between providers who do not talk to each other, I want you to know there is another path. And I would be honored to walk it with you.
