Pregnancy and Postpartum Physical Therapy in Stillwater, MN.
Pregnancy and birth change everything about how your body moves, supports, and feels. Pelvic floor PT can help during pregnancy, prepare you for labor, and rebuild after baby. Whether you are 6 weeks postpartum or 16 years, there is real work that can be done.
What pregnancy and postpartum PT cover.
Care that addresses the specific demands of pregnancy and the long arc of postpartum recovery. The six-week postpartum checkup is a screening, not a recovery plan. PT picks up where that checkup leaves off and gives you a real plan, real assessment, and real follow-through.
When to seek physical therapy.
- • Round ligament pain, SI joint pain, or pubic symphysis pain during pregnancy
- • Diastasis recti
- • Postpartum urinary or fecal leakage
- • Painful intercourse after birth
- • C-section scar tightness or pulling sensation
- • Core weakness or feeling disconnected from your core
- • Pelvic organ prolapse symptoms postpartum
- • Difficulty returning to running or higher-impact exercise
- • Low back, hip, or pelvic pain that started in pregnancy and never resolved
How physical therapy helps.
A full assessment of your pregnancy and birth history, your core, breath, posture, and pelvic floor. From there, hands-on treatment, scar work where relevant, core and pelvic floor retraining, and a home program. During pregnancy, the focus is on managing symptoms, building strength, and preparing for birth. Postpartum, the focus shifts to recovery, rebuilding, and returning to the activities you want to get back to.
What to expect.
60 minutes, one-on-one with Dr. Bethany. Honest conversation, real assessment, and a plan that fits where you are. You leave with clear next steps.
Hi, I am Dr. Bethany Reuter.
I started Enhance PT because I was tired of watching patients get rushed through their care. After years in traditional clinics, I knew there was a better way to practice physical therapy. One where the person on the table actually came first.
I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pelvic health, orthopedics, dry needling, visceral manipulation, and concussion rehabilitation. I treat every client like the only client on my schedule, because for that hour, they are.
If you have been brushed off, told to just live with it, or shuffled between providers who do not talk to each other, I want you to know there is another path. And I would be honored to walk it with you.
