Hip Pain Treatment in Stillwater, MN.
Hip pain shows up everywhere. In the glutes. In the groin. In the low back. In the knee. Real treatment starts by figuring out what is actually generating the pain and rebuilding the system that should be supporting it.
What hip pain is.
Hip pain can come from inside the joint (impingement, labral injury, arthritis), the surrounding muscles and tendons (glute medius weakness, piriformis syndrome, hip flexor strain), or referred patterns from the low back, pelvic floor, or SI joint. Pinpointing the source is the first step. Most cases respond well to conservative treatment.
When to seek physical therapy.
- • Hip impingement or pinching in the front of the hip
- • Deep aching pain in the groin or buttock
- • SI joint pain
- • Pain with sitting, walking, or climbing stairs
- • Glute weakness or "dead butt" feeling
- • Hip pain that started after pregnancy
- • Hip pain that has not responded to rest or stretching
How physical therapy helps.
A thorough hip and pelvic assessment, manual therapy, dry needling where appropriate, glute and core strengthening, and movement retraining. We address the contribution of the low back, pelvic floor, and the opposite hip when relevant. Most clients see meaningful change in 4 to 8 visits.
What to expect.
60 minutes, one-on-one with Dr. Bethany. Full history, movement assessment, hands-on treatment, and a take-home program from the first session.
Hi, I am Dr. Bethany Reuter.
I started Enhance PT because I was tired of watching patients get rushed through their care. After years in traditional clinics, I knew there was a better way to practice physical therapy. One where the person on the table actually came first.
I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pelvic health, orthopedics, dry needling, visceral manipulation, and concussion rehabilitation. I treat every client like the only client on my schedule, because for that hour, they are.
If you have been brushed off, told to just live with it, or shuffled between providers who do not talk to each other, I want you to know there is another path. And I would be honored to walk it with you.
