Chronic Neck Pain Treatment in Stillwater, MN.

Chronic neck pain is rarely just a neck problem. It is usually a posture, breath, and movement problem that has been building for years. Treating the cause, not just the symptom, is what makes the difference.

What chronic neck pain is.

Chronic neck pain is pain or stiffness that has persisted for more than 3 months. It often shows up as tension at the base of the skull, restricted range of motion, pain that radiates into the shoulders, and headaches that originate in the neck. The most common drivers are posture, screen use, breath patterns, and stress.

When to seek physical therapy.

  • Neck stiffness that limits rotation or looking up and down
  • Tension headaches that start at the base of the skull
  • Pain that radiates into the shoulders or arms
  • Pain that worsens with screen time or long days at a desk
  • Pain with sleeping or waking up sore every morning
  • Headaches that come and go with neck tension
  • Numbness or tingling in the arms or hands

How physical therapy helps.

Hands-on manual therapy, dry needling for trigger points, posture and breath retraining, and a targeted strength program. We also identify the upstream drivers (workstation, screen habits, breathing patterns) so the relief actually lasts. Most clients see meaningful change in 4 to 8 visits.

What to expect.

60 minutes, one-on-one with Dr. Bethany. Full assessment of the neck, jaw, shoulders, posture, and breathing pattern. Hands-on treatment, a take-home program, and a clear plan from the first visit.

Dr. Bethany Reuter, DPT, owner of Enhance Physical Therapy in Stillwater, MN

Hi, I am Dr. Bethany Reuter.

I started Enhance PT because I was tired of watching patients get rushed through their care. After years in traditional clinics, I knew there was a better way to practice physical therapy. One where the person on the table actually came first.

I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced training in pelvic health, orthopedics, dry needling, visceral manipulation, and concussion rehabilitation. I treat every client like the only client on my schedule, because for that hour, they are.

If you have been brushed off, told to just live with it, or shuffled between providers who do not talk to each other, I want you to know there is another path. And I would be honored to walk it with you.
